PDMP with DrFirst

Information on PDMP with DrFirst

Updated over 6 months ago

You can elect to be enrolled with DrFirst's PDMP (Prescription Drug Monitoring Program). As DrFirst is Osmind's e-prescribing vendor, Osmind support will work with you and DrFirst to facilitate this implementation process.

This systems allows providers to meet state requirements for prescribing checks, without having to log into their state PMP site separately.

If you are interested in being set up with PDMP through DrFirst, please reach out to support@osmind.org.

  • DrFirst charges a one-time implementation fee of $300 per practice entity per state that Osmind passes on to you.

    • Some states may subsidize any one time state implementation fees and the monthly recurring subscription cost. See the state-by-state listing here for specifics.

    • Note that the DrFirst fee is separate from any state subsidies.

  • Implementation timelines can vary state by state, but are generally several weeks.

  • There is some direct action you need to take to enroll with the state programs. DrFirst and Osmind will help walk you through these steps.

  • Not all states have programs that can be integrated. A full list of status can be found here.
