Provider Notifications

We've updated how patient info appears in provider notifications to enhance HIPAA compliance while maintaining clinical workflow efficiency.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

How it works:

Provider notifications now display patient identifiers in two formats depending on the notification type. You'll receive secure email notifications with direct links to relevant patient information for immediate access.

What changed:

Patient Identification Format:

Initials only (e.g., "S.J."):

  • Appointment requests

  • Intake complete notifications

  • Diagnostic survey threshold alerts

  • Suicidal ideation alerts

First initial + last name (e.g., "S. Johnson"):

  • New patient message notifications

Enhanced Direct Links:

1) New patient message notifications

  • New: Direct link to patient chart

  • You'll see: "New message from S. Johnson"

  • Click for immediate chart access and navigate to the messages tab

2) Suicidal ideation alerts

  • New: Direct link to patient chart (previously no link)

  • You'll see: "Alert: S.J. safety concern"

  • Click for immediate chart access and clinical response

3) Diagnostic survey threshold alerts

  • New: Direct link to documents/patient chart (previously no link)

  • You'll see: "S.J. PHQ-9 threshold met"

  • Click for direct access to survey results and patient chart

4) Appointment requests

  • You'll see: "Appointment request from S.J."

  • Enhanced patient identification for scheduling

5) Intake complete notifications

  • You'll see: "S.J. intake completed"

  • Quick identification for care coordination
