How to resubmit rejected claims

Claims with a “Rejected” status can be resubmitted in Osmind. The original claim fields will be copied over to a new draft claim with a new Patient Control Number (PCN).

Updated this week

When a claim is rejected by an insurance company, the clinic must take action to correct and resubmit it to receive payment. The rejected claim will have a “Create resubmission” available in the Status details section:

Click "Create resubmission" to generate a new claim draft with all relevant details copied from the original claim and a new PCN. A non-dismissible alert box with the PCN from the original claim will appear at the top of the claim form, indicating that this is a resubmission:

The user can then make the necessary corrections to the claim. Once reviewed and corrected, the user can submit the claim directly from Osmind without needing to open ConnectCenter.

In the original claim, users will see an alert box indicating that the claim has already been resubmitted:

When the resubmission claim is in draft status, the original claim will display a yellow alert box indicating that a resubmission claim has been created. It will include a button to Open draft claim:
